Bruce Watson was born in 1973 and grew up on him family farm in Zimbabwe. A lifestyle that saw Bruce carrying a rifle from the age of four, hunting game. Bruce has carried on in those footsteps, and has been actively involved in the hunting industry since 1991 where he started his apprenticeship under Buffalo Range Safaris. Since then, Bruce has hunted for a number of reputable safari companies within Zimbabwe.
In 2002, Bruce joined a company that afforded him the opportunity to hunt in other areas of Africa, thus giving Bruce the edge and the experience to tailor make your Safari. From as high up as Cameroon in the North to the bottom of Africa in the South.
In the 25 years that Bruce has been in the hunting industry, he qualified in 1995 passing the exams with flying colours and best Candidate at Proficiency. Five years later, Bruce won the prestigious award for the Best Professional Hunter for 2002. That year saw him taking the biggest Sable in Zimbabwe, as well as runner up to the biggest Buffalo of the season. In 2010, Bruce won the award for the Best Big Game outside of Zimbabwe. Bruce is well known by fellow professional hunters friends and a large client base from around the world for his ability with either rifle, shotgun or slingshot. The slingshot being a close "go to tool" from a very young age.
Another side of Bruce Watson is his vast knowledge of the African bush as well as the wildlife that lives in it. From the bird life to the Fauna and Flora, all fall into Bruce's abundant wealth of information. In this capacity, Bruce also lends himself to guided walking and photographic safari's, and has done so many of the National Parks and Wildlife Areas in and around Zimbabwe. This option is available and can be arranged as pre or post safari allowing you to enjoy all aspects of Africa from the mighty Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe to the chance of viewing the great migration from a hot air balloon over the plains of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The list is endless.
In the off season, Bruce spends his time at home enjoying family time.
Dawn Schultz was born in Harare in 1983 and spent all her pre teen year with her parents on their camp in Lions Den/Chinhoyi. In 1988 she went to school at Lomagundi college from where she graduated in 1997. In 1998-1999 she attended Midlands Christian College and then moved to Girls College in Bulawayo and completed her schooling at The University of Pretoria in 2003. She has since completed several Diplomas in Teaching.
Under the watchful eye of her Father (A Professional Hunter 1984 to 2006), She developed her love for the bush as well as a keen eye for hunting and has shot many trophy her self such as Kudu, Warthog, Impala to mention a few..
In 1996 the family moved to Hwange, to Riverside Ranch. Here, her family were actively involved in the hunting of as well as the game management and running the ranch for 10 years.
Dawn has two beautiful children (11 and 12) from her previous marriage. Her Love for the outdoors, the bush, fishing, camping, and needless to say, accurate shooting skills has seen herself and Bruce Watson develop their relationship over the years.
